The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for New York City and its surrounding areas, in effect beginning tonight at 10 p.m. through 1:00 p.m. on Friday (February 25). 

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the New York City region for 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4 predicting freezing rain and hazardous ice conditions.  On campus, our Grounds team is prepping areas of campus and is ready to work through the day on Friday.

Snowfall in New York City has tapered off. The Grounds teams have been working throughout last night and today to clear snow, and normal operations are expected to resume in full at the University by tomorrow.

Snow in New York City and its surrounding areas continues to fall. The National Weather Service’s latest forecast from early this morning predicts additional snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches and wind gusts as high as 45 mph. The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has upgraded its Winter Storm Watch to a Winter Storm Warning for New York City and its surrounding areas, in effect beginning 7 p.m. on 1/28 through 7 p.m. on 1/29.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for New York City and its surrounding areas, in effect beginning Thursday morning (February 18) through Friday afternoon (February 19). 

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for New York City and its surrounding areas beginning early Sunday (2/7/21) morning through Sunday night. Heavy snow is possible, with forecasts of 5 to 7 inches in the city and surrounding areas.

The Grounds team has been clearing snow with campus pathways in good condition. In light of these improving conditions, in-person classes are being held Tuesday, February 2, as scheduled.
