Beginning at 12:00 p.m. tomorrow, November 14, access to the Morningside campus will be limited to CUID holders only with entry at the pedestrian gates at Broadway and 116th and Amsterdam and 116th, along with the Wien Gate on 116th between Amsterdam and Morningside Drive. All other campus gates will be closed. This measure is being put in place out of an abundance of caution based on information received about a planned demonstration tomorrow afternoon. CUID-only access will end tomorrow as soon as conditions allow.
If you have a pre-scheduled meeting or event with a non-affiliate at 12 p.m. or later that cannot be rescheduled, please email [email protected] to coordinate arrangements.
This measure is temporary due to the planned demonstration tomorrow. Please note that there may be future instances that necessitate the implementation of gate closures or access restrictions based on information received from law enforcement of potential events that may affect Columbia. We recognize the limited gate configuration is an inconvenience and will make every effort to provide timely notifications if such restrictions are put in place.
