The Winter Storm Warning for New York City and surrounding areas issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) remains active and is in effect from 12:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7 until 4:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8.  As of 3:42 p.m., the NWS expects our area to receive 4-8 inches of snow, with visibility significantly reduced at times.

The Emergency Management Operations Team (EMOT) is closely monitoring the storm in coordination with our New York City partners, including the MTA and City government agencies.

Any changes to regular campus operations on Wednesday will be communicated no later than midnight tonight.

We are closely monitoring the path and severity of the storm, and encourage you to do the same.  For real-time weather information, visit the National Weather Service. You can also stay informed by signing up for Notify NYC, the City's official source for emergency information, or by visiting New York City’s Severe Weather website.

Look for an update later this evening and, as always, all EMOT communications will be available online on the Columbia Preparedness website.
