For tomorrow:

Please be aware that some campus services are operating on a Spring Recess schedule.

  • All campus shuttles are expected to resume service but may experience delays due to road conditions.
  • MTA subway and bus and regional commuter rail lines and bus services may experience residual delays. Check with your transit provider for current service updates.
  • Some peripheral campus gates may remain closed to facilitate snow removal. Updates on gate openings will be posted to the Columbia Preparedness website.
  • Any additional CUMC-related updates will be sent in a separate message to the CUMC community.

While the worst of the storm is behind us, forecasts call for freezing rain and scattered snow showers for the rest of today and tomorrow. As such, travel may remain hazardous. Please use caution. If you see any unsafe conditions on campus such as icy walkways or falling ice from nearby buildings, please report them immediately by calling 212-854-2222 at the Morningside campus or 212-305-HELP (305-4357), option 3 at CUMC.

Thank you to all University staff whose dedication and hard work is enabling us to work through the storm in order to quickly resume normal operations.

If more updates become available, we will continue to post new information to the Columbia Preparedness website.
