The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for New York City, along with parts of New Jersey and Long Island, in effect from 10 p.m. Saturday, December 13, through 1 p.m. Sunday, December 14.
The NWS is currently forecasting snow accumulations between two and four inches. Expect slippery, icy, and hazardous conditions during this time. Use mass transit, when possible, allow extra travel time, and use caution as you navigate around campus. Normal operations are anticipated on campus.
PREPARE YOUR SPACES FOR THE SNOW THIS WEEKEND
Please help preserve buildings and your own belongings. Securely close all windows, window shades, blinds, or curtains. This single step may be the most important way that you can protect your space from potential damage.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
Facilities will have additional staff on campus to salt grounds and remove snow and ice.
