Winter Storm Warning

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for late tonight (2/8) into tomorrow (2/9) for New York City and its surrounding areas. Predictions for snowfall accumulation range from 6 to 12 inches.  The Emergency Management Operations Team is actively monitoring conditions.

The National Weather Service is predicting dangerous travel conditions during tomorrow’s commute, with snowfall rates of 1-to-2 inches per hour possible, heavy winds and visibilities of 1/4 mile or less at times.

Please stay safe, exercise caution and allow extra travel time.  We encourage employees to make necessary preparations today ahead of a likely challenging commute tomorrow and to speak with a manager or supervisor about contingency plans if needed.
