Winter Storm Update
Snow in New York City and its surrounding areas is falling steadily. The National Weather Service’s latest forecast predicts snow and sleet accumulations in New York City between 8 and 12 inches, with snow changing to sleet this afternoon into early evening. Areas north of the city may experience higher accumulations with snow transitioning to sleet later in the evening. The wintry mix is expected to lighten during the overnight hours, with lingering light snow possible Monday morning into afternoon. Frigid conditions are expected through to Saturday.
The Facilities teams have been actively clearing snow as the snowfall continues at an accelerated rate. Given current snow conditions, please exercise caution when traveling through campus. Personnel are mobilized to continue clearing snow throughout the day and overnight.
