Winter Storm – Final Update

January 29, 2022

Snowfall in New York City has tapered off. The Grounds teams have been working throughout last night and today to clear snow, and normal operations are expected to resume in full at the University by tomorrow.

Paths throughout the core campuses have been cleared, although some areas and stairs remain slick. Temperatures are anticipated to remain below freezing, contributing to icy conditions. Please exercise caution and build in extra travel time when traveling through campus.

The Evening Via Shuttle began service on time at 4 p.m. today. Expect delays in service due to road conditions. Tents on the Morningside campus will reopen tomorrow morning. Normal operations for the libraries are expected tomorrow, but please check the Libraries' website for status updates before coming to campus. At CUIMC, the LL1 entrance of Hammer Health Sciences Center and the revolving doors located in front of Georgian Residence will remain closed until the winds have significantly reduced in speed.
