Penn Station Repair Work

As you may be aware, beginning Monday, July 10 through September 1, 2017, the MTA has scheduled summer repair work at Penn Station that will affect Long Island Railroad (LIRR), New Jersey Transit and Amtrak commuters. As a result, we want to encourage our faculty and staff who rely on these to plan ahead for any potential disruptions to their regular commute.

Both the MTA and NJ Transit have created websites to inform passengers of anticipated changes and alerts:

 
At this time, we recommend the following to those who may be directly affected by the Penn Station repair work:

  • Those who rely on the LIRR, NJ Transit and Amtrak to get to work should identify themselves to their supervisors to help the planning process.
  • Alternative commuting options should be planned in advance.
