Campus Impacts Due to Winter Weather

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for New York City and its surrounding areas, lasting from 6 a.m. until midnight today, Tuesday February 12, 2019. Read this update for impacts to campus due to the snowfall.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for New York City and its surrounding areas, lasting from 6 a.m. until midnight today, Tuesday February 12, 2019. See below for impacts to campus due to the current snowfall. (Last updated: 2/12/19 12:00 p.m.

  • Shuttle Service: Lamont shuttle service is canceled, as the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory is closed today. As a result, there is no mid-day shuttle service between CUIMC and Fort Lee. The Intercampus, Fort Lee shuttles, and the Manhattanville Loop are running on their regular schedules, with delays anticipated. For schedules, visit the Columbia Transportation website.

  • The College Walk pedestrian gates at the Morningside campus have been closed. The main College Walk gates remain open and available.

  • For impacts specific to the CUIMC campus, please visit the Medical Center Operations site.

Expect slippery and hazardous travel conditions for the remainder of the day, including during the evening commute.  Please exercise caution when traveling.
