There are currently no changes to the regular weekend schedules of Dodge Fitness Center, Lerner Hall, Libraries, Dining, or Health, but we advise checking in with these service providers before visiting. The Lamont-Doherty Shuttle will not be running on Saturday, January 23. Other Columbia Transportation shuttles are currently running on their normal schedules, although this is subject to change based on weather and road conditions. We advise students to check with your school and/or instructor regarding the status of weekend classes. If you are scheduled to attend an event on campus this weekend, you may want to check in with the appropriate venues or event organizers for the latest updates and possible cancellations.
Mayor Bill de Blasio has urged New York City residents to avoid travel and to use mass transit when travel is necessary for the duration of these weather conditions. Although the blizzard is expected to occur over the weekend, when most classes are not in session, we urge all members of the Columbia community to heed the mayor’s advice and to stay informed about weather conditions.
